As part of its three-year sponsorship of UCLA Athletics that began in July, Burbank Bob Hope Airport will host a sweepstakes on its social media channels from September 2 through October 11, with entrants having a chance to win two tickets to the UCLA-Oregon game at the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium on October 26, two round-trip tickets on Alaska Airlines from Burbank Bob Hope Airport to Portland International Airport, one night at the Valley River Inn, and one dinner for two at the Oregon Electric Station.
Sweepstakes entrants must be over 18 years of age and live in the United States. The airport of origin for the airline tickets will be Burbank Bob Hope Airport, so encourage your Los Angeles area friends and family to enter!
Also, if you have a chance, drive by the Airport terminal tower to see our new banner announcing the Airport’s partnership with UCLA Athletics as well as designating Burbank Bob Hope Airport as the Official Airport of the Rose Bowl Stadium! The first game is August 31 against University of Nevada.
Following the June City Council study session and a July public workshop about the ground access and land use planning studies now under way—including a potential replacement passenger terminal—the Airport Authority and City of Burbank will offer several opportunities in September for members of the public to learn about this planning effort and provide their views about the future of the Airport and potential uses on the 59 acre Lockheed B-6 Opportunity Site.

On August 1, Burbank Bob Hope Airport officially opened the first major component of the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center Project, the Replacement Parking Structure (RPS). The structure is four stories high with five parking levels, and will be used for valet parking. The RPS location next to the Valet Parking pick-up area is perfect for speedy vehicle retrieval, and it provides an option for valet customers who would like their cars to be parked in a fully covered area.
The Valet Parking rate is $23 per day, and customers can join over 1500 members of the Valet Parking Loyalty Program to become eligible for a free hand car wash after ten credit punches on their membership cards.
Construction of the $8.2 million RPS began in July 2012 and the project was completed on time and on budget. The remaining two components of the transportation center, the Consolidated Rental Car Facility and the Elevated Walkway, are due to be completed in summer 2014.
The Burbank Hospitality Association’s new website is up and running. It features your favorite airport (of course!), and a whole lot more. Share it with your friends who are coming to L.A.!
