The Airport Authority holds regular public meetings on the first and third
Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Sky Room, located in the
administrative offices on the second floor of the main terminal
building. Parking in the Hourly
parking structure is validated for those attending the meetings.
The
Authority has three standing committees that meet on a regular basis in the
administrative offices on the second floor of the main terminal
building. The public is welcome to
attend, and parking in the Short Term parking structure is validated. The Operations and Development Committee
meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first and third Monday of each month, preceding the regular Authority Commission meeting. The Finance and Administration
Committee meets on Authority
meeting dates at 10:30 a.m. or
immediately following the full Authority meeting. The Legal, Government, and
Environmental Affairs Committee meets at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday the same
week the Authority meets.

committees will be posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting in the display
case in the entryway of the main terminal building, located at 2627

IT Network Systems Manager
Responsibilities include configuration, implementation and support of Airport desktop computers, servers, network equipment, digital telephone system and software applications; management of complex projects, management of purchasing/inventory control; documentation of procedures, support of users.
Requirements/qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3 years IT experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
· Knowledge of Novell Console One, Active Directory 2003, HP Servers, Cisco IOS, desktop computers, Windows XP/Vista/7 operating systems, Microsoft Office suite.
· IT user support experience.
· Project management experience.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze problems/issues, and identify and implement effective solutions.
· Effective communication skills, including experience in writing reports and policies
· Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
· Ability to establish effective working relationships.
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
· Availability to work additional hours as needed.
· Ability to lift and carry computer and server equipment up to 60 lbs.
Preferred:
· Experience with Novell GroupWise.
· Certification in Microsoft MCP and ITIL.

Operations Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Receive and direct emergency and non-emergency calls via radio and multi-line telephone systems.
Monitor security surveillance, facility fire alarms, covert alarms, and dispatches appropriate Law Enforcement, Fire, Maintenance and
Operations personnel as required.
Utilize the Justice Department Interface Controller (JDIC) system to research and verify information.
Maintain daily Operations and Law Enforcement records and report logs.
Assist customers.
Assist with projects as assigned.
Requirements/qualifications:
Experience or education in law enforcement/fire department dispatching, customer service, landside or airside operations, airline operations a plus.
Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of a communications or dispatch center.
Working knowledge of CLETS / JDIC systems.
Knowledge of effective communication techniques.
Familiarity with law enforcement, fire department, aviation radio communications.
Hourly nonexempt position
Pay rate: $14.25-17.00 / hour. Open until filled.

The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Police Department is seeking qualified community
service minded individuals to serve as fully empowered peace officers to
handle traffic, crowd control, anti-terrorism, airport/aviation related
security, and general law enforcement. These positions serve in a
general law enforcement capacity and are not responsible for passenger or
baggage screening.
Immediate placement is possible for qualified certificated applicants
(P.O.S.T. Basic Academy graduate or Basic Certificate holder). Salary:
$3684.82/month entry level, higher DOQ, plus liberal benefits package;
