General Parking

ATTENTION Bob Hope Airport Lot D Customers: A new state-of-the-art Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC) is coming to Bob Hope Airport! Lot D is now closed. Lots A, B, C, E, the Parking Structure, and Valet will all remain open during RITC construction. Bob Hope Airport knows that good parking is a key part of offering a good airport experience.  The Airport provides three basic parking options:  Economy, Short Term, and Valet. We have refined our parking operation to ensure spaces are always available for the type of parking each airport patron prefers. (Please note that special restrictions apply to oversized vehicles.)

Economy Parking with free shuttle service to the terminal offers the lowest price. Shuttles to all lots pick up passengers at the pedestrian islands in front of the terminal.

Short Term Parking next to the terminal is aimed at meeters and greeters who want to find their party quickly and easily. It is available at economical pricing for the first hour.

Valet Parking in front of the terminal is quick, convenient, and value priced at $23.00 per day. Over the past 20 years, it has proven to be an immensely popular option for locally-based travelers.

Valet Service allows customers to drive into the airport, leave their keys with the Valet, and proceed directly to the terminal. To initiate car retrieval upon arrival at Bob Hope Airport, customers can call 1-866-727-5287 (printed on valet tickets); call Valet on an airport courtesy phone and enter your ticket number or utilize express pay terminal kiosks (see map).

Oversized Vehicle Parking Rules and Pricing

Oversized vehicles are allowed to park in Economy Lot A only. In order to prevent large “oversized” (20 feet or more) vehicles from parking in economy lots other than Lot A, the following action is placed in force:

Oversized Vehicle Policy

1. Oversized Vehicle Parking Location:

a. Parking for any vehicle deemed by the Authority or its agents as an “oversized” vehicle shall only be permitted in Lot A.

2. Oversized Vehicle Criteria:

a. Any vehicle which occupies more than a single standard parking stall.

b. Any vehicle which extends significantly into the parking lane so as to cause an impediment to the safe conduct of passing traffic.

c. Any vehicle which cannot safely enter, exit or maneuver through any parking facility or access control point accessible to the public.

3. Fees for Oversized Vehicles:

a. Vehicles that occupy more than one standard stall shall pay for the standard daily/hourly rate for that Lot and the number of stalls used.

b. Vehicles which extend significantly into the parking lane shall be escorted from the premises or towed at the owner’s expense and shall be subject to two times (2x) the standard daily/hourly rate for that Lot.

c. Any vehicle which cannot safely enter, exit or maneuver through any Parking facility or access control point accessible to the public shall be escorted from the premises and shall be subject to two times (2x) standard daily/hourly rate for that Lot.

4. Maximum Period of Stay for Oversized Vehicles:

a. Vehicles which meet the criteria of “oversized” are limited to stays not to exceed five (5) days (based on a 24 hour period).

Motorcycle Parking Rules

Motorcycle parking is available in any of our surface parking lots (all lots except the parking structure). Motorcycles may park in any of the marked parking stalls, just as a car would. Motorcycles pay the posted parking rates for that lot.

Limousine Parking Procedures

Limousine Procedures

The Bob Hope Airport currently has the following procedures regarding limousines:

1. No pick ups are permitted at the Airport curbs.

a. The driver must park their vehicle at a designated location, greet their customer at the terminal, and return to their vehicle with customer and baggage to exit Airport property. Two oversize parking spaces are available in short term parking if needed. Limousine drivers must pay posted parking rates while waiting in any Bob Hope Airport parking lot for their passengers to arrive.

2. Drop offs at curb.

a. Limousines are permitted to drop off at the Airport Terminal loading and unloading curb. Drop offs are not permitted at the shuttle curbs. After completing drop off, limousines must exit without picking up any customers.
